Ordinance 338 AN ORDINANCE accepting a Deed of Dedication from Puget
Western, Inc. to the Town of Tukwila, for a new road known as
"Slade Way".
WHEREAS, a street known as "Slade Way" has been constructed
to replace certain portions of South 162nd Street and 54th South
and,
WHEREAS, Puget Western, Inc. by letter dated August 21, 1961
to the Town of Tukwila, has made certain commitments regarding
insurance, construction, maintenance, repair and /or rebuilding of
said streets, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA, THAT
The Town of Tukwila hereby accepts the Deed of Dedication
of Slade Way, described as:
A right of way for public highway purposes 60 feet in
width over portions of Tracts 23 to 27, inclusive, Block
2 of McMicken Heights, Division #1, an unrecorded plat in
the NW 1/4 of Section 26, Twp. 23 N., Range 4 E., W.M.,
the southerly and westerly margin of which right of way
is described as follows:
Beginning at the west 1/4 corner of said Section 26; thence
N 0 °14'13' W., along the west line of the NW 1/4 of said
section, 1400 feet; thence S 89 °21'31" E., 664 feet to the
southwest corner of said Tract 22; thence N 0 °14'13" W.,
along the west line of said Tract 22, 200 feet to the
northwest corner thereof; thence S 89 °21'31" W., along
the north line of said Tract 22, 636.35 feet to the north-
east corner thereof and which point is also, respectively,
S 0 °09'36" E., 185.86 feet and N 89 °21'31" W., 30.00 feet
from the intersection of the center line of 54th Avenue
S. with the center line of S. 162nd Street, as now estab-
lished; thence N 0 °09'36" W., along the west margin of
said 54th Avenue S., 1.00 feet to the true point of
beginning of the southerly and westerly margin of said
right of way; thence N 89 °21'31" W., parallel to and 1.00
foot distant northerly, measured at right angles of the
north line of said Tract 22, 392.57 feet to a point of
curve; thence northwesterly along an arc of a curve to
the right having a radius of 285.00 feet, an arc distance
of 294.97 feet to a point of compound curve, which point
lies N 59 °56'26" E., 1.00 foot from the northeast corner
of Tract 6, Block 2 of said McMicken Heights, Division #1;
thence northerly along an arc of a curve to the right
having a radius of 355.62 feet, an arc distance of
270.56 feet to a point of tangency; thence N 13 °31'57"
E., 187.27 feet to the southerly margin of S. 160th
Street, as now established and the termination of said
right of way margin and which terminus is also, respec-
tively, N 76 °07'40" W., 101.19 feet and S 13 °31'57" W.
30.00 feet from the intersection of the center line of
said S. 160th Street with the center line of 53rd Avenue
South, as now established. Reserved herewith is the
right to make all necessary slopes for cuts or fills upon
the lots or blocks, tracts or parcels of land abutting
upon said right of way in the original reasonable grading
thereof.
SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS AND COMMITMENTS previously made,
by Puget Western, Inc. and said Slade Way is now declared to be
a part of the street system of the Town of Tukwila.
