Model 579/580 gas heating /electric cooling units are designed to deliver optimum performance and reliability in a commercial rooftop unit. Every unit is factory run - tested prior to shipment to ensure reliable installation. The 579/580 are designed to be field - convertible from vertical supply /return to horizontal supply/ return (180 -300 units require accessory horizontal supply curb), making them easily adaptable to a wide variety of new construction and replacement applications. For vertical supply /return jobs the ductwork can be connected directly to the roof curb, allowing ductwork to be completed before the unit arrives at the job site. The following factory- installed options are available: economizers, manual dampers, controls upgrade packages, filter access door panels, condenser coil grilles and higher static alternate evaporator fan motors. STANDARD FEATURES • Prewired, prepiped and precharged for minimum installation expense • Convertible unit (180 -300 units require accessory horizontal supply curb) • All units comply with ASHRAE Standard 62 • Internal return -air filters • Low profile, compact size permits easy shipment, rigging and installation • Every unit is run - tested at the factory in both the cooling and heating mode • Dual compressors and dual refrigeration circuits (090 -150 and 216 -300) • Power, control and gas connections made on same side of unit • Commercial strength base rails for easy rigging and lifting • Prepainted corrosion resistant baked enamel finish on inside and outside of cabinet • Cooling operation at outdoor ambient temperatures as low as 25 F • Compressor vibration isolation mounting • Low - voltage terminal blocks for easy wiring connections • Induced draft combustion • Aluminized corrosion resistant tubular heat exchangers LIMITED STANDARD WARRANTY • One -year parts only on all parts • Additional second through fifth year on compressor, no labor (036 -180) • Additional second through fifth year on heat exchanger, no labor HEATING &COOLING SUBMITTAL Model 579E/579F/580D Sizes 036 thru 300 COMMERCIAL ROOFTOP GAS HEATING/ ELECTRIC COOLING UNITS SUBMITTALQATA Job Name • krcl.i$e So a Architect Engineer Contractor J e„S;jv, A. r- Unit Designation •J UNIT DATA Unit Model No. P1Q1?\/ 0 90 1 ZS Units Volts- Phase -Hertz 4{. H.V.A.C. units rated at 2,000 cfm require auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station supervision is required. (City Ordinance #1646) Smoke detectors required by Uniform Mechanical Code Section 1009 (a), (HVAC 2000 cfm and greater), shall be installed in the main return -air duct ahead of any outside air inlet or they may be installed in each room or space served by the return -air duct. Detectors shall also be installed in the supply duct, downstream of the filters. Activation of any detector shall cause the air - moving equipment to automatically shutdown. 2. All new fire alarm systems or modifications to existing systems shall have the written approval of The Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau. No work shall commence until a fire department permit has been obtained. (City Ordinance #1646) (UFC 10.503) Remote indicator lights are required on all above ceiling smoke detectors. (City Ordinance #1646) This review limited to speculative tenant space only - special fire permits may be necessary depending on detailed description of intended use. We would like to propose not interlocking the thermostats on this project. We can set up the zones so as to prevent the simultaneous heating/cooling without interlocking the thermostats. Basically, thetspace is all one big zone up until around 3 to 4 p.m. The West wall has an overhang and internal shading. During the winter, for example the sun rising on the East, all units would be calling for heat. By the time the sun would get over to the West wall, the East would be satisfied and in "Deadband" mode or possibly in cooling along with the West units. We would like to ask for a reconsideration on this project, and ask that we not be required to interlock these thermostats. Sincerely, DESIGN AIR, LTD. Ginter D.
