APPLICATION SUBMITTAL In order to ensure that your application is accepted for plan review, please make sure to fill
out the application completely and follow the plan submittal checklist on the reverse side of this form. A completed
"Mechanical Permit Fee Worksheet" must accompany this permit application. Handouts are available at the Building
counter which provide more detailed Information on application and plan submittal requirements. Application and
Plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review.
BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or
contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent
to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION The valuation is for the work covered by this permit and must be filled in by the
applicant. This figure is used for budget reporting purposes only and not to calculate your fees.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of
application shall expire by limitation.- The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a
period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform
Mechanical Code (current edition). No application shall be extended more than once.

DESCRIPTION
The Reznor Series 100, Model F gas -fired unit heaters are
designed for 80% thermal efficiency for use with natural or
propane gas in sizes from 25,000 to 400,000 BTUH gas input
and are arranged for gravity venting. Model F units are de-
signed for ceiling suspension with propeller fans for air delivery.
Standard features on the Model F Series include a manual
match -lit pilot with 100% shut -off and a single- stage, 24 -volt
gas valve. A terminal strip connector facilitates field connection
to a remote 24 -volt thermostat for automatic operation. Each
unit is provided with a fan control and required limit safety
controls, including an energy cut -off (ECO) device and a blocked
vent switch.
These units have been design - certified by the American Gas
Association (A.G.A.) and approved by the Canadian Gas
Association (C.G.A.) and bear the A.G.A. or C.G.A. label, and
are approved for use in California.
NOTE: Model F units for California require the addition of
spark pilot Option AH2 or AH3.
Warning: Gas -fired appliances are not designed for use in hazardous
atmospheres containing flammable vapors or combustible dust, or atmos-
pheres containing chlorinated or halogenated hydrocarbons.
Installations in public garages or airplane hangars are permitted when
in accordance with ANSI Z223.1 and NFPA 54 codes or CAN1.8149 codes
and enforcing authorities.

quiromonts in low to moderate static pressure appll.

General Safety Information

well as the National Electrical Code (NEC) and
the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

grounded. This can be accomplished by wiring
with a grounded, metal -clad raceway system, by
using a seoarate ground wire connected to the
bare metal of the motor frame, or other suitable

the open position and tag to prevent unexpected
application of power.

Dear Sir:
The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. H.V.A.C. systems supplying air in excess of 2,000
cubic feet per minute to enclosed spaces within buildings
shall be equipped with an automatic shutoff. Automatic
shutoff shall be accomplished by interrupting the power
source of the air - moving equipment upon detection of smoke
in the main supply -air duct served by such equipment.
Smoke detectors shall be labeled by an approved agency for
air -duct installation and shall be installed in accordance
with the manufacturer's installation instructions. (UMC

H.V.A.C. units rated at 2,000 cfm require
auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be
separately zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L.
central station supervision is required. (City

All new fire alarm systems or modifications to
existing systems shall have the written approval of
The Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau. No work shall
commence until a fire department permit has been
