TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL City Hall SPECIAL MEETING Council Chambers MINUTES Mayor Van Dusen called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order and led the audience and the City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. MABEL J. HARRIS, JOE H. DUFFIE, EDGAR D. BAUCH, WENDY A. MORGAN (COUNCIL PRESIDENT), CHARLES E. SIMPSON, MARILYN G. STOKNES, JAMES J. MCKENNA. Maxine Anderson (City Clerk), Alan Doerschel (Finance Director), Ross Earnst (City Engineer), Jim Haney (City Attorney), Don Morrison (City Administrator), Byron Sneva (Public Works Director). Mayor Van Dusen read a Proclmation proclaiming March 21 through 27, 1987 as Foster Girls' Basketball Team Week. The team coach introduced the members of the basketball team. Mayor Van Dusen introduced two youth visitors from the Sister City in Japan. BUSINESS 37 Res: approving MOVED BY SIMPSON, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT THE PROPOSED an agreement for fire RESOLUTION BE READY BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION CARRIED. emerg. medical serv. joint operation of City Attorney Haney read a resolution of the City Council of facilities between City the City of Tukwila, Washington, approving an agreement for fire King Co. Fire District and emergency medical services and joint operation of facilities #1, between the City of Tukwila and King County Fire Protection District No. 1, and authorizing the Mayor to execute such agreement by title only. MOVED BY SIMPSON, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT COUNCIL ACCEPT THE RESOLUTION AS READ. MOTION CARRIED. Don Williams, Recreation Director, recommended tabling this item on the agenda until the next meeting when it will come forward with some fund transfers. MOVED BY STOKNES, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, TO TABLE THE MATTER UNTIL THE NEXT MEETING. MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY MORGAN, TO AMEND THE MOTION AND APPROVE THE LOW BID PENDING THE FUND TRANSFERS.
