An approved fire suppression system shall be installed in all food heat processing equipment (except where grease laden vapors are not produced). This system shall be connected so that fuel or current is automaticly shut off if the system is activated. (UFC 10 -314) We strongly recommend that the hood system be connected to the required fire alarm system. Electrical: Any and all line voltage wiring (including final connections), all low line voltage wiring and conduit, timeclocks, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, fused disconnects, pushbutton stations, and smoke and/or fire detection equipment (except as furnished as an integral part of the HVAC equipment). 2. Plumbing: Water make-up (including required back - flow prevention and pressure -reducing stations), drains and fuel service to air conditioning equip- ment as required, including all final connec- tions. 3. Painting: Any and aLt painting of equipment, piping, ductwork, diffusers, grilles, etc., exLept standard factory -applied finishes. 4. Decorative Work: Vinyl or decorative work o nature. 5. General: a. Temperature control system. b. Air -tight shafts. C. d. e. f. h. Concrete work, including pads, piers and inertia blocks, including forms and steel reinforcing for same. Thermal insulation to structure. Acoustical insulation and treatment to st uc- ture. Structural platforms, catwalks and equipment supports. Cutting, patching, framed openings, curbs!, curbed Openings and +lashings, except fortair conditioning curbs. Grounds, bucks Or backings for diffusers and grillee. i. Set and level 011 curbs (including pre- fabricated air conditioning unit curbs). 6. Temporary Heat: a. In the event foOdMaker Inc. approves use of the York units for temporary heat, this contractor shall be fully reimbursed fot.all additional costs incurred providing this service. b. All temporary heating apparatus, if required, shall be installed and operated in such a manner that the finished installation shall not be damaged or adversely effected. 7. Early Start -Up: a. In the -event Foodmaker Inc. approves the HVAC equip- ment be started 'prior to the scheduled start-up date, this contractor shall be fully reimbursed for all additional costs Incurred in :providing this service. 1. 3 RULES AND REGULATIONS A. All work and materials shall be in full accordance with all governing codes and ordinances. Nothing in these plans or specifications is to be construed as to permit work not conforMing to these codes. B. This contractor shall warrant the HVAC system inStal- lation against defective workmanship, materials and equipment, fuenithed under this sectidn, under normal use and service, for a period Of 01)0 (1) year from the date of installation. Verify all spaces, dimensions, locations, conditions, etc., required for installation of all HVAC and related work; assume full responsibility therefore. B. Obtain all necessary rough -in data and dimeneions of all fixtures, equipment, Tenant- or Owner -furnished equip- ment and equipment furnished under other Sections. C. No exposed ducts will be permitted to show on interior of building in any finished room. Where this would occur, exposed eortion shall be furred and plastered, or cased when'not adjacent to the wall. D. Maintain ample headroom, clearances and accessibility. Interferences between work of various trades will be resolved by the Architect and Owner in consultation with the Engineer. Relocate or offset any work as required to accommodate' work of ether trades, all at no extra cost to Owner. Maintain ceiling heights and avoid excessive furring requirements. E. If not precisely located on Drawings, obtain locations of fixtures, equipment, appliances, etc., from the Architect and Food Service Equipment Supplier. No tolerance will be allowed. 1.11 MEASUREMENTS A. All dimensions of work of other trades which raquire verification shall be.verified from shop drawings of ) such work or from actual measurements at building, whichever is themost accurate and practical in the judgement of the Contractor, who shall be responsible for the accuracy of such measurements. 1.12 COOPERATION WITH OTHER TRADES A. Contractor shall so order his work that progress will harmonize with that of other trades and so that all work may proceed as expeditiously as possible. B. Contractor shall coordinate the work covered by his contract with all other trades to make sure each and every item has been covered. C. So far as possible, the work under this Contract has been indicated on the Drawings in such positions as to suit and accommodate the work of other trades, but the work as indicated is largelly diagrammatic and the correct finished positions of all equipment and materials cannbt be indicated.
