(Each) pump shall be capable of delivering gallons per minute against a total dynamic head of feet. Pump(s) shall (each) be close - coupled toa HP, R P M , phase, 60 hertz, volt ball- bearing, drip proof (totally enclosed, explosion proof), NEMA standard vertical electric motor. Motor shall be of such size that it will operate continuously without exceeding its h.p, rating, exclusive of service factor, at the design capacity and head. Pump casing shall be gray iron. Models 3" and larger shall have balanced dou- ble volute design to minimize radial shaft deflection. Suction and discharge con- nections shall be the same size, flanged 125 PSI rating, 180° opposite on center- line for pipeline mounting. Casing shall have bronze replaceable wear ring. Im- peller shall be bronze, enclosed, stati- cally, dynamically, and, where applicable, hydraulically balanced. Motor shaft shall be one piece stainless steel, or steel with bronze shaft sleeve. Pump shall have mechanical shaft seal of the Ni- Resist type and be properly vented to the suc- tion connection.
