REMARKS:
SUMMARY OF INSPECTION
A visual inspection was performed of °the installed HVAC support beams per ABKJ connection
detail "Section A -A" dated 3/30/88. These (10) beams are located at spaces D -460,
D -466, D -472 and D -480 A &B on lines W, X and Z. Installation was found to be in
conformance with the above mentioned detail and AWS D1.1 and AISC code requirements
except for the following:
1) Existing joist bridging has not been replaced.
2) Beam seats are not welded all around, as specified, as those areas across the top of
each seat, which are adjacent to the new beam ends, are incompleted. Access to these
areas is restricted due to the tight fit of the new beam into the web of the existing
beam to which it attaches. Mr. Bob Anderson, Engineer, was contacted by phone and the
situation was described to him. Seeing how there is a weld return across the top of
the beam seats where possible, the conditions, as•they presently exist, are acceptable.

installed to accommodate future tenant HVAC equipment.
