The Contractor shall be responsible for providing the necessary ramps, chutes, coverings, etc., as necessary, to protect the the public, the Shopping Center and any adjacent tenant property from damage. Such damage may include merchandise, furniture and fixtures, as well as existing construction. Any and all repair of damage to property will be performed as directed by the Project Coordinator and at the expense of the Contractor. 3. SITE ACCESS t4ATEI 1AL DELIVERY AND PARKING. Tne Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate all material deliveries for the Work. All deliveries shall be madu through the sr :rvicc door of the. tenant space in which the Work is being performed via lhe adjacent truck dock and /or service corridor. AT NO TIME w1LL THE TRANSPORTATION OR DELIVERY OF MATERIALS BE ALLOWED EITHER IN OR ACROSS THE t'ALL PUBLIC AREA WITHOUT THE EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE SHOPPING CENTER MANAGER. Specific areas have been designated by the Shopping Center Manager for parking. Tne Contractor shall be responsible to ensure that all employees working under this Contract use the designated Barking areas. THERE WILL BE NO CONSTRUCTION TRAILERS ALLOWED ON THE SITE. No parking will be allowed in any of•the driveways, fire lanes, and truck docks except for loading and unloading only. 4. WORK AREA AND STORAGE. The Contractor's work area will be restricted to the tenant space in which the Work is being performed. No storage or work areas will be allowed in the adjacent Tenant spaces. At no time are the service corridors or truck docks to be used as a storage or work area. 5. TRAFFIC CONTROL. The Contractor shall be responsible to protect the public and re -route all traffic where roquireo to accoaunadate the completion of the Work. All protection barricades and re- routing must first be approved by the Shopping Center tanager. G. INSURANCE REQUIFW.MENTS. SECURITY AND AFTER HOURS WORK.- It shall be the Contractor's sole responsibility and liability for the security of any materials and /or equipment related to the Work. Since the Shopping Center employs security personnel to protect the Shopping Center property, it will be necessary to register any construction personnel working after hours with the Shopping Center Manager. The Contractor shall provide the Shopping Center Manager with., the name of any personnel working after hours as well as a phone number at which the Contractor's superintendent may be reached after hours. The Contract Agreement, Instructions to Bidders and these drawings shall be part of the Contract Documents and thoroughly reviewed by the Contractor and subcontractor(s) prior to the submittal of a bid:. 2. In addition, the following must be in the possession of the Shopping Center Manager before any Work may begin: A. A complete list of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to be.used. • A copy of each of the local and state building permits (if required) and any additional permits as may required by governing authorities. The Shopping Center Manager may stop any work and the Contractor will correct any item which is in violation to.O.S.H.A. standards or may, in the Shopping Center Manager's opinion, cause injury or harm to the public or Shopping Center property and the Contractor shall be fully liable for any costs of damage or delay as a result of such action. 9. SIGNAGE. The Contractor Is not allowed to post any company name or•sign on the storefront temporary barricade or building exterior. However, the Contractor shall post all signage as required by Shopping Center Manager for public safety or general warning. 10. BELOW -GRADE CONSTRUCTION. Prior to beginning any below -grade work, the Contractor shall verify the location of any underground utility services. Any damage to existing underground services will be repaired as directed by the Project Coordinator and charged to the Contractor. (See #2 above.) 11. INTERRIPTION OF.UTILITY SERVICES. The Shopping Center Manager must be notified at. lease 72 hours prior to any modification to utility services that will temporarily interrupt the services to other tenants or.to the Shopping Center. 12. NOISY CONSTRICTION. Thu Shopping Center Manager has established working hours when the Contractor may perform "noisy" construction (check with the Shopping Center Manager for these restricted hours.) The Shopping Center manager reserves the right to order an immediate hault to any work that is, in the Shopping Center Manager's opinion, disruptive to the normal operation of the adjacent tenants and /or Shopping Center. 13. TRASH REMOVAL. All trash will be confined to the tenant space in which the Work is being performed (or otherwise as directed by the Shopping Center Manager) and removed at the end of each and every day by the Contractor, Any trash found in the service corridors, truck dock,. adjacent Tenant spaces, and /or public areas will be removed by the . Shopping Center Manager and billed to the Contractor at a rate of $50.00 per man hour plus equipment costs. (Any trash'dumpster location must :first receive the prior approval of the Shopping Center Manager.) UNDER NO CIRCUM STAtCES ARE THE SHOPPING CENTER TRASH COMPACTORS TO BE USED BY THE CONTRACTOR. 14. SPRINKLER SYSTEM. The Contractor must notify the Shopping Center Manager ` ' at .least 48 hours in advance of making any modification to the existing fire protection system(s). In the event the Work requires a modification to the existing fire protection system, the Contractor shall be required to obtain the Owner's fire insurance underwriter's approval prior to performing such :modification.
