HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0332 - Sewer SystemTOWN OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 332 AN ORDINANCE relating to the system or plan for a system of sewerage for the Town, increasing the estimated cost of acquisition and construction of such system, and amending sections 5, 6 and 7 of Ordinance No. 320 of the Town and section 3 of Ordinance No. 321 of the Town. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA, as follows: Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 320 of the Town is amended to read as follows: Section 5. The estimated cost, as near as may be, of the aforesaid system or plan for con- structing and acquiring a system of sewerage, all to become a part of the waterworks utility of the Town, is hereby declared to be 226,000 Section 2. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 320 of the Town is amended to read as follows: Section 6. The cost of acquiring, con- structing and completing the foregoing system or plan shall be paid as follows: (a) By assessments to be levied in the amount of not to exceed $56,000.00 against the property included in the local improvement district proposed to be formed as hereinafter set forth; and (b) From the proceeds received from the issuance and sale of "Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds, 1961," in the amount of not to exceed 170,000 par value. Section 3. Section 7 of Ordinance No. 320 of the Town is amended to read as follows: Section 7. The "Water and Sewer" Revenue Bonds, 19b1," herein authorized to be issued and sold in the principal sum of not to exceed 170,000 par value shall bear interest at not to exceed 6% per annum, payable semiannually, with interest coupons attached; shall be numbered from "one" upward consecutively; and shall be in such denominations and form, shall bear such date and interest rate or rates, shall be payable at such place or places, shall mature serially in accordance with such schedule, beginning not earlier than one year after the date of issuance and ending not later than thirty years thereafter, or may be term bonds, shall have such option of payment prior to maturity, shall guarantee such coverage and collection of rates, shall provide for such additional funds and accounts, and shall contain and be subject to such provisions and covenants, as shall hereafter be provided by ordinance. The bonds shall be sold in such manner as the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila shall deem to be in the best interests of the Town. Section 4. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 321 of the Town is amended to read as follows: Section 3. The estimated cost, as near as may be, or the improvement is hereby declared to be 226,000 and not to exceed $56,000.00 of said cost and expense shall be levied and assessed against all the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by the laws of the State of Washington and the ordinances of the Town of Tukwila. PASSED unanimously by the Town Council and APPROVED by the Mayor of the Town of Tukwila, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, this 7 day of 4,1 1961. ATTEST: TOWN CLERK 2.
