D. SUPPLEMENTAL SHEET FOR NONPROJECT ACTIONS
(do not use this sheet for project actions)
Because these questions are very general, it may be helpful
to read them in conjunction with the list of the elements of
the environment.
When answering these questions, be aware of the extent the
proposal, or the types of activities likely to result from
the proposal, would affect the item at a greater intensity
or at a faster rate than if the proposal were not imple-
mented. Respond briefly and in general terms.
1. How would the proposal be likely to increase discharge
to water; emissions to air; production, storage, or
release of toxic or hazardous substances; or production
of noise? There will be some runoff water impact. The
proposal does not involve any discharge of waste
materials to water. During construction some dust may
result from site preparation work and emission will be
produced by construction machinery.
Evaluation for
Agency Use Only
Proposed measures to avoid or reduce such increases are:
To reduce runoff water impacts, release rate to drainage
system will be controlled by the detention system_ oil/
Water separator will be provided, and possibly Biofiltration/
surface water treatment.
2. How would the proposal be likely to affect plants, ani-
mals, fish, or marine life?
The proposal will not have adverse effect on plants,
animals, fish or marine life. The site is used
presently as temporary parking.
Proposed measures to protect or conserve plants, ani-
mals, fish, or marine life are:_
Existing vegetation will be protected and the new land-
scaping will enhance the vegetation on the site.

PROPOSALS
The objectives and the alternative means of reaching the
objectives for .a proposal will be helpful in reviewing the
aforegoing items of the Environmental Checklist. This
information provides a general overall perspective of the
proposed action in the context of the environmental infor-
mation provided and the submitted plans, documents, suppor-
tive information, studies, etc.
1. What are the objective(s) of the proposal?
To enhance visitor services.
2. What are the alternative means of accomplishing these
objectives?
Visitors to use off -site food service facilities.
3. Please compare the alternative means and indicate the
preferred course of action:
Using off -site food service facilities would result in
increased traffic and emissions to the air as well as
more use of fossil fuel. The preferred course of
action is for visitor services to be accomplished on-
site.
