Dear Ms. McEuen:
I am • responding to your letter dated November 5, 1992 concerning Probate No. 92-
409137 -2.
As you are aware, the Zoning Code of the City of Tukwila does not provide for a
temporary mobile unit on a residentially -zoned property.
In your letter, you indicated that the estate of Walter Miles is now in probate. The City will
grant a six -month extension to allow the continuation of the non - conforming use at the
above location. The mobile unit however, must be removed at the end of six months
(May 14, 1992) and may not be used as a residence throughout this period.
The City must also be notified in writing once the unit has been removed. If removal is
done by a contractor, the letter should be accompanied by a receipt for the contractor.

RE: Mobile Unit
Dear Mr. Miles:
You were notified on or about August 11, 1992 by King County
Building and Land Development Division that due to annexation into
Tukwila, the County no longer has jurisdiction to renew your
Temporary Medical Hardship Permit.
The Zoning Code of the City of Tukwila does not address the
temporary or permanent use of a mobile unit for medical purposes in
residential or commercial zones. The City therefore can exercise
its discretion in authorizing the continued use of a mobile unit
for medical reasons if 1) the reasons are substantiated by a
physician, and 2) if neighbors in the surrounding area are not
negatively impacted.
In order for the City to allow the use to continue, the following
must be provided by October 30, 1992:
a. Provide the name and phone number of the medical
physician;
b. Arrange for a site inspection by the planning staff;
c. Provide names and addresses of property owners within 300
feet of the subject property.
Please keep in mind that if the City does approve the continued use
of the mobile unit, certain conditions may be applied to the
