The golf course clubhouse had some flooding in the basement. There has been other slight damage from the rain. Wendy Morgan, speaking as a citizen, stated she has been walking during the past week in areas of Tukwila where there are no sidewalks. She has determined the City is not pedestrian friendly. The City is discouraging use of retail businesses and other amenities with the lack of sidewalks. The City Council must address themselves to the sidewalk policy. There is great risk in walking without sidewalks. Joan Davis, 5916 South 144th, Tukwila, stated in 1975 the Seattle Fur Company pleaded for sidewalks. She stated she is happy to see sidewalks going down by the golf course. Move fast on sidewalks!
