hereinafter called the Grantor
hereinafter called the Mortgagee —, and the CITY
CO OF SEATTLE, • municipal corporation, hereinafter called the Grantee, WITNESSETN:

— conveyer_ and granter to the Grantee. Its successors and assigns, the right, privilege and
authority to construct, erect, alter, Improve, repair, operate and maintain an electric transmission
Q` and distribution line, consisting of the nee aasary towers and poles, with braces, guys and anchors,
N and to place upon or suspend transmiseion, distribution and signal wires, Insulators, cross -arms,
transformers and other necaasary or convenient appurtenances, across, over and upon the following
described lands and premises situated In the County of KING, State of Washington,,to - wit:
A 5- foot -wide easement with the center line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the vest line of Lot 1, Block 5,
Robbins View Tract Addition to Riverton, as recorded in
Volume 17 of Plate, page 90, records of King County, which
bears North 00 °07'36" East 162.08 feet from the southwest
corner of said Lot 1; thence North 78 ° 39'09" West, 12.19
feet; thence South 46 ° 40'49" West, 93.72 feet; thence
North 27 ° 30'00" East, 108.00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence North 20 °40'00" East, 10.00 feet to a
point hereafter referred to as point "A "; thence continuing
North 20 ° 40'00" East, 60.00 feet, more or less, to the south
margin of relocated 40th Ave. So., TOGETHER with a 5- foot -wide
easement the center line of which is described as follows:
Beginning at the aforementioned point "A "; thence North
80 ° 00'00" West, 80 feet to the terminus of this description.

Together with the right at all times to the Grantee, Its successors and assigns, of Ingress to and
egress from said lands across adjacent lands of the Grantor— for the purpose of constructing, re-
constructing, repairing, renewing, altering, changing, patrolling and operating said Ilne, and the
right at any time to remove said poles, wires and appurtenances from said lands.
Also the right to the Grantee, Its successors And assigns, et all times to cut all brush and
timber, and trim all trees standing or growing upon said lands which, in the opinion of the
Grantee, constitute a menace or danger to said line.
It Is understood and agreed that the City of Seattle, Department of Lighting, may grant other
utilities the right and privilege to occupy and use Jointly the said transmission and distribution
1Ine.
The City of Seattle and /or other utilities are to be responsible, as provided by law, for any
damage resulting to the Grantor— through Its negligence In the construction, maintenance and
operation of said transmission and distribution lino over and across the property of said Orantor_.
The Grantor_, his heirs, successors or assigns, covenanter and agree -1_ that he wi 11
not do any blasting or discharge any explosives within ■ distance of three hundred (300) feet of
said line without giving reasonable notice In writing to the Grantee, Its successors or assigns,
of Intention so to do.
The rights, title, privileges and Authority hereby granted shell continue and be In force until
such time as the Grantee, Its successors or assigns, shall permanently remove said towers, poles,
wires and appurtenances from said lands, or shall otherwise permanently abandon said line, at which
time all such rights, title, privileges and authority hereby granted shall terminate.
Any mortgage on the said premises held by the Mortgagee above named Is hereby released to the
extent, but only to the extent, necessary to subordinate the said mortgage to the easement herein
granted to said Grantee.
