Per the Uniform Building Code and/or Uniform Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the building official under the provision of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. Based on the above, if a final inspection is not called for within ten (10) business days from the date of this letter, the Permit Center will close your file and the work completed to date will be considered non - complying and not in conformance with the Uniform Building Code and/or Mechanical Code. The ceiling was not touched, nor were electrical or mechanical systems. The affected walls are non - structural. The fire alarm system in the building was installed recently, in accordance with Tukwila City Ordinance #1742. I have attached a permit application with necessary drawings, etc. Please let me know the procedure to take in view of the fact that the work has already been done.
