Permit Conditions:
1. No changes will be made to the plans unless approved by the
Architect or Engineer and the Tukwila Building Division.
2. Electrical permits shall be obtained .. through the Washington
State Division of Labor and Industries and all electrical
work will be inspected by that agency (248-6630).
3. All mechanical work shall be under: separate.: permit.. issued by
the City of Tukwila..
4. All permits, inspection records, and approved plans 'shall be
available : -at the job site prior to the start of any con -
struction.:. These documents are to be maintained and avail-
able until final inspection approval is granted.
5. Doors to new rooms developed under this permit shall provide
32- inches: of net clear opening width to meet barrier free
requirements. Operating hardware shall have a lever or othe .
r shape which will permit operation by wrist or arm pressure
and,which does not require tight grasping, pinching or tw-
isting to operate.
6. A clear unobstructed floor space of 48 "x 36" is required at
approach to door serving accounting personnel room.
7. A42' clear unobstructed path of travel is required between
the new wall of the conference room and the existing sink
counter.
8. All' construction to be done in conformance with approved
plan's and requirements of the Uniform Building Code ( 1994
Edition) as amended, Uniform Mechanical Code (1994 Edition),
and Washington State Energy Code (1994 Edition).
9. Validity of Permit. The issuance of a permit or approval of
plans, specifications, and computations shall not be con-
strued to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation
of any of the provisions of the building code or of any
other: ordinance of, the jurisdiction. No permit presuming to
give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this
code shall be, valid.
10. VENTILATION IS REQUIRED FOR'ALLNEW.ROOMS AND SPACES OF NEW
OR EXISTING BUILDINGS IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE UNIFORM
BUILDING CODE AND THE WASHINGTON STATE VENTILATION AND
INDOOR AIR QUALITY CODE, CHAPTER 51 -13 WAC.

9. Identify location and size of existing trees that are located in sensitive areas and buffer (TMC 18.45.040), of
those, identify by size and species which are to be removed and saved
10. Landscape plan with irrigation and existing trees to be saved by size and species (exterior changes or change
of use only)
11. Location and gross floor area of existing structure with dimensions and setback
12. Lowest finished floor elevation (if in flood control zone)

The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the

Obstructions, including storage, shall not be placed
in the required width of an exit, except projections

obstructed in any manner and shall remain free of any
material or matter where its presence would obstruct

Dead bolts are not allowed on auxiliary exit doors
unless the dead bolt is automatically retracted when
the door handle is engaged from inside the tenant
space.

when two or more exits from a room or an area are
required by U.B.C. Section 3303, exit signs shall be
illuminated. (UBC 1013.3)
3. Maintain sprinkler coverage per N.F.P.A. 13.
Addition /relocation of walls, closets or partitions may
require relocating and /or adding sprinkler heads.
All new sprinkler systems and all modifications to
existing sprinkler systems shall have fire department
review and approval of drawings prior to installation
or modification. New sprinkler systems and all
modifications to sprinkler systems involving more than
50 heads shall have the written approval of the
W.S.R.B., Factory Mutual, Industrial Risk Insurers,
Kemper or any other representative designated and /or
recognized by The City of Tukwila, prior to submittal
to the Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau. No sprinkler
work shall commence without approved drawings. (City

4. All electrical work and equipment shall conform
strictly to the standards of The National Electrical Code.

5. Accumulation of combustible waste material is
prohibited during the demolition phase of this project.
Remove and properly dispose of all waste material prior to
the close of the working day and as often throughout the
day as needed.
6. Your street address must be conspicuously posted on
the building and shall be plainly visible and legible from
the street. Numbers shall contrast with their background.
