Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 433-1851 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and Is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations: The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). Materials: Douglas fir veneer 1 /10" thick, laminated in a press with all grain parallel with the length of the member. Glues used in lamination are phenol formaldehyde and isocyanate exterior -type adhesives which comply with ASTM D2559. The stud is manufactured from a carbon or stainless steel material. The' carbon steel Kwik 9olt -11 stud 13 made from AISI 1038 or AISI 1144 materials. The wedges are made of AISI 1010 meet, except that K9 -11 3/4•by12, I(!•111•by -0, K1-iI and KB-111-by-12 have AISI 304 (stateless steel) wedges. Al cifbon shuts components are rine-plated. Each component of the stainless steel Kwlk Solt-ii is made from either AISI 304 or AISI 316 material. The stud consists of a high- strength steel rod threaded at Me upper end. The tapered mandrel has an Increasing diameter toward the anchor but and is enclosed by a three - section wedge which freely moves around the mandrel. In the vertical direction, the wedge rnovemen, le restrained by the mandrel taper at the bottom and by a collar at the top of the mandrel. When subjected to torque, the wedge is forced against the wall of the pre- drilled hale to provide tin anchorage. Allowable tension and shear values lrmal-weight concrete are shown In Tables 3 and 4 for the carbon steel stainless steal anchors, respectively. Allowable tension and shear val- 1Z for lightweight concrete are shown In Table 5. B. Post Nut Kwik t3olt-If: Post Nut Kwik Bon-II concrete anchors consist of a racoon (AISI 1144) or stainless (Type 304) steel stud and post nut. The stud threaded end is fabricated to accept a threaded post nut whose outside diameter is equal to the nominal diameter of the stud. The post nut has a countersunk rread configuration. Allowable tension and shear val• ues in 3,000 psi (20.7 MPa) normal - weight concrete for carbon and stain- less anchors are shown in Table 7. C. lastallation: 1. Kwlk i01l -II: The Kwik Bolt -il anchor Is installed in concrete with a predrilied hole of approximately the same site as the nom- inal bolt diameter, The drilled holes must exceed the depth of anchor embedment by al least two anchor diameters to permit overdriving of an- chors and t0 provide a dust -tree area. The anchor must be hammered into the predrilled hole until at least six threads are below the surface. The nut must be tightened against the washer until the torque values specified In Table 1 are attained. Minimum embedment depths, and edge and spacing requirements, are set forth in Table 1. 2. Post Ned Kwlk Bolt -II: The Post Nut Kwlk Bolt -Ii anchor is installed in concrete in a predrilied hole approximately the same size as the nominal bolt diameter. The drilled holes must exceed the depth of anchor embed- ment by approximately two anchor diameters to permit overdriving and to provide a dust -free area. The anchor is tapped Into the hole until the post nut head touches the material to be fastened.
