On 12/19/14 from 4 -6pm the Tukwila Police Department will be conducting our fourth
annual Holiday Caroling Community Giving event. This event involves uniformed
officers in marked and festively decorated patrol vehicles handing out toys and candy to
children throughout our community. This event is made possible through the
department's Community Relations Committee in partnership with Target, Petsmart,
Jared's Galleria of Jewelry and City of Tukwila Employees who have assisted with
donations of toys or candy canes.
This event is particularly close to our hearts this year due in no small part to current
events that have directly impacted the relationship between police departments and the
communities they serve nationwide. Our Community Relations Committee was formed
in 2010 with a clear goal in mind: to give back to the people we serve and increase
public trust. We conduct a number of events throughout the year but this is our largest
and best received.
We would like to extend an invitation to our media partners to join us for this event.
We will have officers on hand to ride along with during the event or for interview.
