On 12/21/14 at 9:00 A.M., a serious traffic collision took place in front of Foster Golf
Links in Tukwila. A red truck was being driven southbound approaching a tan SUV
being driven northbound with a white sedan behind it. The truck crossed the center line
just as SUV changed lanes. The truck glanced off the door of the SUV then head -on
into the sedan. The SUV left the roadway and hit a light pole shearing it off.
The driver of the truck was uninjured; his passengers were unrestrained and were
seriously injured; one has life threatening injuries. The driver of the white car was
moderately injured; the passenger was seriously injured. The driver of the SUV was
uninjured.
The driver of the red truck has a suspended license; he was arrested for vehicular
assault. Traffic investigators are processing the scene and interviewing everyone
involved. It has still not been determined why he crossed into on- coming traffic.
Interurban will be closed until about 2:00 P.M.
