Discussions:
*Introductions and member interests were shared.
*Reach Center of Hope day shelter will be visited at 2 -6 -15 meeting, if possible.
*Homelessness continues to grow & is more visible in Tukwila. Two specific outreach programs (Auburn
Youth Resources, Sound Mental Health) focus on connecting homeless youth/adults with a wide range of
services - including mental health, DSHS connection and housing, when available.
*Accurately identifying Native American kids in the Tukwila School District is a priority since Title 3 funds can
also be used to support students with reading /writing proficiency.
* Two work sessions on the future of Tukwila International Boulevard will be held on January 8th (at Tukwila
Community Center) and February 26"' (location to be determined) from 6 to 9 pm. All are welcome to attend.
*Change meeting time to I Jam -lpm for subsequent meetings.
*Organize tour of REACH Center of Hope Day shelter of Feb. 6t1 meeting,
