DATE ATTACHMENTS 1/05/15 Informational Memorandum dated December 8, 2014 Informational Memorandum dated December 16, 2014 1 2 City of Tukwila Jim Haggerton, Mayor INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM TO: CITY COUNCIL FROM: MAYOR HAGGERTON DATE: DECEMBER 8, 2014 SUBJECT: RE-APPOINTMENTS TO THE ARTS COMMISSION AND LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD AND NEW APPOINTMENT TO THE HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD ISSUE There are several individuals on our Arts Commission and Library Advisory Board whose terms will expire in the near future. I am recommending reappointment of the existing members as follow: Arts Commission Position #1: The term of Brian Kennedy will expire December 31, 2014 and I am recommending that he be reappointed. His new term will expire December 31, 2018. Library Advisory Board Position #1: The term of Sharon Kidd will expire December 31, 2014 and I am recommending that she be reappointed. Her new term will expire on December 31, 2016. Position #2: The term of Steve Miller will expire December 31, 2014 and I am recommending that he be reappointed. His new term will expire on December 31, 2016. Position #4: The term of Geraldine Ventura will expire December 31, 2014 and I am recommending that she be reappointed. Her new term will expire on December 31, 2016. Human Services Advisory Board There are currently several vacancies on the Human Services Advisory Board (HSAB). Position #4: I have attached the application of Rosa Lee Hannah for your consideration. Ms. Lee works for Catholic Community Services and is a Tukwila resident. She will bring valuable professional experience to the HSAB. I am recommending that Ms. Hannah be appointed to Position #4 recently vacated by Christopher Lowrance. Her term will expire on April 30, 2016. If you have any questions regarding these applications or appointments, please let e know by noon on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
