Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015: Notice of Intent to Sell City Property: Location: Northeast corner of Tukwila International Boulevard and South 144th Street Parcel: Parcel D per Lot Consolidation Application L13 -021 Land: 20,799 SF Building: Vacant Zoning: Neighborhood Commercial Center Minimum Bid: $500,000 For more information contact Derek Speck, Economic Development Administrator, at 206 - 433 -1832 or Derek.speck @tukwilawa.gov. All bids must be submitted to the City Clerk, Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, 98188 no later than 9:00 a.m. on January 9, 2015 and must be clearly marked as: BID FOR CITY PROPERTY PARCEL D ALL BIDDERS MUST HAVE THE EXPERIENCE, DESIRE, AND FINANCIAL CAPACITY TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A 10,000 SQUARE FOOT PUBLIC LIBRARY ON THE PROPERTY. Should the successful bidder and City enter into the purchase and sale agreement, the bid deposit shall be applied as earnest money toward the purchase payment. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such sales contract and furnish satisfactory payment, the bid deposit/bond shall be forfeited to the City of Tukwila. The City of Tukwila hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contracts entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
