Minutes — approved October 2014
June 3, 2014 — Tukwila Community Center — 7:00pm
Attendance: Sharon Kidd (Chair), Linda McLeod, Steve Miller (Treasurer), Marie Parrish, Gerie Ventura
(Secretary /Vice Chair)
Staff: John Shellar (KCLS)
Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 7:08pm
Approval of minutes: Reviewed the October 2013, February 2014, and April 2014 Friends Minutes.
Marie moved to accept the minutes as amended. Sharon seconded, all were in favor and the motion
passed.
Treasurer's Report: Steve reported a current balance of approximately $3,000. The checkbook was
unavailable for the exact amount. There had been a recent deposit of $700 from raffle tickets, online
book sale, and Foster Friends book sales.
Business Items
1. John relayed a "thank you" from the Foster Library Teen Librarian, Rachel, for the "thank you for
volunteering for the Tukwila Teen Library Advisory Board" gifts for the recently graduated
Seniors of Foster High School.
Adjournment: It was moved by Sharon to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Marie and the meeting
was adjourned at 7:13pm.
