By code, it is required that the salesroom (retail) areas be separated from the storage (warehouse) areas by a V one —hour fire— resistive barrier. The Benaroya Company has provided Ethe necessary fire — resistive doors, jambs and walls. However, your firm's use of the structure has nullified the effec- tiveness of the fire wall. First, you are using the warehouse space as a showroom for beds and bedroom furniture. Second, you have VO blocked the fire doors in their open position with wood wedges. t. Should a fire occur these doors will be unable to properly function Q as a fire barrier. • Therefore, you are hereby ordered to cease using the warehouse as a VI showroom for the public to occupy.
