RE:. Statement of roof weight for re- roofing Southcenter
Store and Distribution Center
The Southoenter Store has a concrete deck and was designed
for an additional story to be added at a future date. The present
roof has 400 pounds per roofing square of gravel. We will remove.
300 pounds per roofing square of gravel. Application of two ply
asphalt roof would only replace 126 pounds per roofing square.
This re -roof will decrease the weight load on this store by 174
pounds per roofing square.
The Distribution Center also:has 400 pounds per roofing square
of gravel. This roof is to be stripped and re- roofed. The weight .
on the structure would be considerably less because the new roof
is a smooth maintenance type roof not gravel surfaced.
We are meeting UBC requirements that no excess weight would
be added to either of these structures.

In progress more than 30 days, a monthly statement shall be mailed on the first of the month for work completed to date. Buyer agrees to make
payment within ten (10) days of each statement date. After ten (10) days from the statement date, the account becomes past due and Is subject
to 11 /z% per month late charges. In the event that the matter Is referred to attorneys for any reason whatsoever, the prevailing party In any
dispute shall receive attorney's fees, court costs and expert witness fees in addition to any amounts due on the past due account. Both parties

is lapped a minimum of 2" on the seams and 8" on roll ends.
6. A Two Ply Weather Grade Roof is applied using 12 to 14 gallons of cold asphalt per. 100 square feet. The
asphalt is distributed at a minimum rate of 4 gallons under each ply and 4 gallons over the top of each ply per1O(
square feet. Each ply is lapped a minimum of 2" on the seams and 8" on roll ends. The center of the top ply 15In -;
stalled over the seams of the first ply.
7. A Base Ply is applied using 4 to 5 gallons of cold asphalt per 100 square feet. The asphalt is applied between the:
seams and as a solid coating beneath the base ply to adhere the base ply to the roof deck. The base ply is Lapped a
minimum of 2" on the seams and 8" on roll ends.
