I am recommending reappointment of the existing Board and Commission members and appointment of new members as follows: Community Police Citizen's Advisory Board There are currently three vacancies on the Community Police Citizen's Advisory Board. I am pleased to forward you the following applications to fill two of the three vacancies. Position #3 I am recommending the appointment of John Lindsay to Position #3. Mr. Lindsay is a Tukwila resident and a retired school teacher. He also completed the Tukwila Police Department Citizen's Academy in 2014. His term will expire on March 31, 2019. Position #5 I am recommending the appointment of Austin Hackett to Position #5. Mr. Hackett is a Tukwila resident, a member of United States Marine Corps reserves and a student at the University of Washington. His term will expire on March 31, 2019. Human Services Advisory Board Position #7 The term of Jan Bolerjack will expire April 30, 2015 and I am recommending that she be reappointed. Her new term will expire April 30, 2018. Park Commission Position #2 The term of Alice Russell will expire March 31, 2015 and I am recommending that she be reappointed. Her new term will expire March 31, 2018. Position #4 Julie Lee recently resigned from the Park Commission creating a vacancy. I am pleased to forward you the application of Michael Martin. Mr. Martin is a Tukwila resident and works as an Urban Planner for the City of Issaquah. He recently completed his Master's Degree in Public Administration with a focus on Parks Administration. I am recommending that he be appointed to position #4. His term will expire March 31, 2018.
