PRESENTATIONS No presentations. II. BUSINESS AGENDA A. 20144 1h Quarter Revenue Report Staff presented the 2014 4th Quarter Sales Tax and Miscellaneous Revenue Report. Information detailed in the staff report includes retail sales tax, gambling tax, and admissions tax revenues, with sales tax broken out by industry classifications. Total sales tax collections for the fourth quarter were $467,000, or 11 %, above those for the same period last year. The City collected $1,137,765.00 in sales tax mitigation as of December 31. INFORMATION ONLY. B. Resolution: Support King County Proposition 1 - PSERN Staff is seeking Council approval of a resolution that would express support for passage of King County Proposition No. 1, Regular Property Tax Levy for Emergency Public Safety Radio Network Replacement (PSERN) Project. The existing public safety radio network is nearly twenty years old and will no longer be supported by its vendor after December 31, 2018. The PSERN Project will replace aging components and technology to support emergency dispatch and incident scene communications. King County Proposition No. 1 on the April 28, 2015 special election ballot will provide funding for the project if approved by voters. Pursuant to the requirements of RCW 42.17A.555, Chair Hougardy provided an opportunity for public comment. No public comment was given. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. FORWARD TO APRIL 20, 2015 REGULAR MEETING. III. MISCELLANEOUS Chair Hougardy invited Gail and John Chase to address the Committee. They are owners of ABC Towing located in Tukwila and noted that the City has contracted with a Renton -based tow company since 1998. They explained that sales tax on towing services is collected based on the location from which the truck is dispatched, and therefore the City would benefit from using a Tukwila company for this service. The Committee asked staff for additional information on the City's current contract.
