Resolution No. 1857
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING
THE REVISED COMPREHENSIVE WATER PLAN,
DATED FEBRUARY 2015, AND PROVIDING FOR
WATER SERVICE POLICIES FOR THE CITY, AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1834.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila is an Optional Municipal Code city, subject to the
duties imposed under the provisions of Chapter 35A of the Revised Code of
Washington; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Water Plan identifies specific actions and
strategies to manage and control the quality of the water system in Tukwila; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila has deemed it desirable to
adopt a Comprehensive Water Plan in accordance with the provisions of WAC 246-
290 -100; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila adopted the 2013
Comprehensive Water Plan via Resolution No. 1834 on July 21, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Health requested that Chapter 6
be revised regarding the fire flows to the Crystal Springs and Ryan Hill neighborhoods;
and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Water Plan has been revised to address the
concerns of the Washington State Department of Health;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The revised Comprehensive Water Plan and Appendices, dated
February 2015, prepared by Carollo Engineers, are hereby adopted by this reference as
if set forth in full.

Section 2. The Comprehensive Water Plan shall be revised every six years to
reflect changes in the City of Tukwila's Capital Improvement Program, which requires
facility modifications, as it relates to the standards outlined in WAC 246- 290 -100.
Section 3. Repealer. Resolution No. 1834 is hereby repealed.
