HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-07-24 Special MinutesA special meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila called for the purpose of taking action on the report of the Specisl Committee on the petition for disincorporation was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:12 P. M. There were present Mayor E. F. Greene, Councilmen H. E. Ives, G. V. Harrison, P. S. Gade, Fred Nord and A. G. Berg. The Clerk being absent, Councilman Ives was appointed Clerk pro tem. Councilman Harrison reported the enumeration of the Town's population had been completed. Moved and seconded that the report of the enumerator be accepted. Motion carried. The matter of the Resolution as to the sufficiency of the petition for disincorporation was brought up and after consid- erable discussion it was deemed advisable to have said resolution prepared by an attorney. Moved and seconded that Councilman Gade be empowered to employ the services of an attorney to prepare this Resolution in legal and proper form for presentation at the regular meeting of the Council in August. Motion carried. No further business appearing the meeting adjourned at 9:00 P. M. Approved: Ma`yd1 Tukwila, Wash., July 24', 1924. Clerk pro tem.
