Ordinance No 325 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 7 of Ordinance No. 264
of the Town of Tukwila.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of
Tukwila, as follows:
Section One. Section 7 of Ordinance No. 264 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
No service connection that is less than 3/4" in size
shall be installed. The fee for installation of water connections
as hereinbefore described shall be as follows: 3/4" connection
$100.00. For service connections larger than 3/4" the fee shall
be determined by the actual cost of labor and materials used in
making such connection, plus twelve (12 per cent for overhead,
Provided the minimum charge in any such case shall .be $100.00.
In such cases the cost of labor and materials shall
be estimated by the Superintendent or his duly authorized representa-
tives and such estimated cost shall be paid to the Treasurer or the
person appointed by him for the purpose of making collections for
the Water Department, before the work of connecting the main with the
property is initiated, Provided that whenever the estimated cost is
not sufficient to cover, the total expense for labor and materials
the deficit shall be charged to the property for which installation
was made and to the owner thereof; and provided that any excess
payment shall be returned„ to. the person applying for the installation.
On all.. service_ applications for 4" meters or larger,
and at the time of_the application, the applicant shall pay for the
cost of the meter to be installed which is a separate item in addition
to the cost of the service as provided heretofore.
