The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of
Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:05 P
There were present Mayor E. F. Greene, Councilmen H. E. Ives, Fred
Nord, G. V. Harrison and A. G. Berg. The Clerk being absent, Counci
man H. E. Ives was appointed Clerk pro tem.
Minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read
by the Clerk and approved as read.
BILLS
The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being
approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, Seconded
carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for the respective amou

COMMUNICATIONS
The Town,Treasurers monthly report was read by the Clerk
and ordered placed on file.
Application from Mr. William Glydenfeldt for permission to
construct a dog kennel was read by the Clerk and referred to new
business.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES
Street Committee Councilman Ives.
The drain on Engel Hill has been repaired but there are a
number of other drains in the Town that are badly in need of repair.
The Mayor ordered the Committee to make the necessary repairs at one
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The resignation of Councilman Gade which was placed on the
table at a former meeting was brought up and it was regularly moved,
seconded and carried that his resignation be accepted and the Clerk
be instructed to tender hire a vote of thanks for his services to the
Town.
In order to fill the vacancy thus caused, the Council
elected Mr. A. J. Erickson to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Gade.
Mr. Erickson was then sworn into office by the Mayor and immediately
took his seat in the Council.
NEW BUSINESS
The request of Mr. Glydenfeldt for permission to construct
a dog kennel was brought up and it was regularly moved, seconded and
carried that the Clerk be instructed to issue such permit.
The question of parking space along the Interurban right o
way was brought up and the Clerk was instructed to take this matter
up with the Puget Sound Electric Railway and request permission for
the use of same.

The question of entering into a new, overlapping contract
for street lights with the Puget Sound Power and Light Company was
brought up and discussed at length but it was decided to take no
action on this matter at the present time.
The Budget for the year 1925 was brought up and discussed
but inasmuch as it had not been definitely drawn up, the Mayor ordered
a special meeting to be held on Thursday, September 18th, for this
purpose.
