HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-10-25 Special MinutesTukwila, Wash., October 25, 1924. A special meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:10 P. W. There were present Mayor E. F. Greene, Councilmen H. E. Ives, G. V. Harrison, Fred Nord, A. G. Berg and A. J. Erickson. A communication was read from Mr. E. E. Lutz, Clerk, stating that a previous engagement precluded his being present; Councilman Ives was therefore directed to act as clerk pro tem. The Mayor stated that the meeting had been calledlin response to a request to consider the following matters: Report of Health and Sanitation Committee; Delinquent assessments; Improvement of certain streets and alleys and an extension of the existing lighting contract. The Health and Sanitation Committee made a lengthy report as to conditions on the flat, but it was decided to take no action until a report could be obtained from the County Health Office. The delinquent sidewalk assessments were discussed at length and it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk be instructed to file these assessments with the County Treasurer on or before October 30th. A request was made for a further appropriation for Bluff Street and Second Avenue. After some discussion it was decided to take no action on the matter at this time. An Ordinance was introduced relative to the extension of the present Street Lighting Contract with the Puget Sound Power and Light Company but no action was taken. 9:15 P. M.
