Access Agreement `µ1
This agreement is between King County Department of Information Technology and Tukwila Municipal Court
and is effective from July 1, 2015 for a period of 36 months, unless otherwise specified below. After which this
document will be reviewed and renewed, if appropriate.
As a Law Safety Justice (LSJ) Partner requiring access to the King County Network and/or resources, I
acknowledge that I am in a position of trust, and I understand that I may have access to protected information,
computers, networks, and/or system security for the following business purpose:
Describe the specific purpose below(in detail):
Access to King County Law Safety Justice information is required in order to support the organization's normal
and routine business functions. Access to this information has been in place for many years and the need is
anticipated to continue well into the future.
I/we further understand and agree to the following:
1. I/we are responsible for the security and privacy of information and systems to which I/we have
access.
2. I/we are responsible for the security of the systems I/we use to connect to King County and I/we:
a. Agree to ensure my/our computer resources are free of all known malicious software and are
running current Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware and host firewall software.
b. Agree to not make computer networks or systems available to others unless I/we have received
specific authorization from the Information Owner of the system or network.
3. Records, files, databases, and systems may contain protected as well as public information.
4. I/we may access, read or handle protected information to the extent required to perform my/our
assigned duties.
5. Although I/we may have access to certain protected information, I/we agree to not access such
information unless it is necessary in the performance of my/our assigned duties.
6. Not to divulge, publish, or otherwise make known to unauthorized persons or to the public any
protected information obtained while accessing King County information. I/we understand that:
a. I/we may divulge protected information to authorized staff and managers as necessary to perform
my/our duties;
b. I/we may divulge protected information to others only if specifically authorized to do so by federal,
state, or local statute, regulation or court order, and with the knowledge of my/our contract
manager;
c. I/we may not discuss protected information outside of the workplace or outside of my/our usual
work area.
7. To consult my King County Service Owner/Representative on any questions I may have concerning
whether particular information may be disclosed.
8. A breach of confidentiality or information security may be grounds for disciplinary or legal action, and
may include contract termination, and in some circumstances criminal prosecution.
9. Notify my King County Service Owner/Representative or King County's Chief Information Security and
Privacy Officer immediately should I become aware of an actual breach of confidentiality or information
security or a situation that could potentially result in a breach, whether this is on my part or on the part
of another person.

10. I shall notify the King County Service Owner/Representative as employees in my organization no
longer require this access as well as new employees that require access to King County Criminal
Justice Systems.
