Description of Incident
This evening at approximately 5:48pm, Tukwila Police Officers responded to
reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Andover Park West. Witnesses reported
observing an altercation between two men in a parked black four door sedan. The
vehicle was parked toward the north side of the parking lot of that address. The vehicle
then began driving southbound through the parking lot and multiple shots were heard by
passersby. The victim of the shooting exited the vehicle in the south section of the
parking lot where he was soon located by officers. Prior to the officer's arrival, the
suspect fled in the vehicle southbound through the parking lot and exited in an unknown
direction onto Baker Blvd.
The Hispanic male victim was conscious and responsive when contacted despite
being struck at least two times by gunfire. He was quickly transported to Harborview
Medical Center and his status is not known at this time. The only information available
regarding the suspect is that he is an African American adult male. The relationship
between the suspect and victim is also unknown.
