This analysis is a re-use of the storage racks used in the Vancouver, WA. store which used was designed under the 1997 UBC. The lateral forces determined using the 1997 UBC at the Vancouver, WA store are greater than the lateral forces determined using ASCE 7 -02 at the proposed location in Tukwila, WA. (see pages 10 and 11 for clarification). Therefore, using the lateral forces determined for the Vancouver site Is conservative.
