SPONSOR'S King County AFIS is a voter-approved regional provider of expert fingerprint identification
SUMMARY services that officers, investigators, prosecutors, and corrections staff have all come to
rely on. The program aids in solving crimes and is recognized for its high standards in
quality, accuracy, and service. The portable MobileID device is a new tool that street-level
officers can use in the field in order to identify a subject more efficiently. The Council is
being asked to consider and approve the implementation of this technology.
