Auto Theft Regional Task Force was serving a search warrant on a residence in the 14900 block of 51st Ave S. in Tukwila. The warrant was to search for a subject, Kevin M. Vaughn, associated with auto theft and for evidence of auto theft. While officers were securing the residence to serve the search warrant, two subjects on motorcycles were traveling south on Interstate -Five (1 -5), and slowed down at an area on 1 -5 that overlooks the property where the officers were working. The suspects on the motorcycles then fired at least seven (7) shots at the officers on scene. The suspects fled south on 1 -5 and are currently at large. No officers or civilians were injured. The warrant is currently being served on the residence. Multiple firearms were found at the scene, which are being processed. The shooting is being actively investigated at this time. Currently, the Auto Theft Task Force has probable cause to arrest Kevin M. Vaughn for his participation in auto theft. DOB: 02/03/89 white male, 6'1 ", brown hair, blue eyes, with a tattoo "HATRED" across his forehead. He is a known gang member associated with the Resurrection motorcycle gang. He is also a subject of interest in this shooting incident. Kevin M. Rider had a green helmet and was riding a green motorcycle.
