HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-11-13 Regular MinutesTukwila, Wash., November 13, 1924 The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:0 P. M. There were present Mayor E. F. Greene, Councilmen H. E. Iv Fred Nord, A. G. Berg and A. J. Erickson. Councilman G. V. Barris being absent. Minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read by the Clerk and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the Clerk and after be approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, second and carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for the respecti amounts. CURRENT EXPENSE FUND. COMMUNICATIONS The Town Treasurers monthly report was read by the Cler: and ordered placed on file. Letter fron the Pacific Telephone Co. asking for permis sion to install poles on various streets of the Town wa read by the Clerk and referred to new business. REPORTS OF COMMITTLES Street Committee Councilman Ives. All the contemplated work on the various streets of the Town has been completed with the exception of Bluff St. It is recommended that the Clerk be instructed to write Mr. Walkup to proceed with this work in accordance with the motion formerly passed by the Council. So ordered by the Mayor. Health and Sanitation Committee Councilman Nord. Nothing further has been done regarding the complaint recently filed with the Council due to the fact that no report has been received from the County Health Officer. The Mayor then referred this matter back to this Committee and also the Town Marshal with full power to act. The Clerk was also instructed to serve proper notice. Seattle 36 00 TOTAL 107.53 #2 11/13/24 NEW BUSINESS Moved and seconded that permission be granted to the Pacific Telephone Co. to install poles on the various streets of the Town as requested. Motion Carried. Mr. F. Gott appeared before the Council and requested that some action be taken on the complaint filed by him at a former meet- ing. After a short discussion this matter was referred to the Street Committee to investigate and report at the next regular meeting. 8:35 P. M.
