The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order on the above date by the Mayor at 8:00 P There were present Mayor E. F. Greene, Councilmen H. E. Ives, Fred Nord, A. G. Berg and A. J. Erickson; Councilman G. V. Harrison being absent. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, seconded carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for the respective amour CURRENT EXPENSE FUND J. Tukwila Seattle Tukwila Tacoma Seattl e TOTAL 10 00 21 75 1 95 10 00 18 13 36 00 97 83 COi 1riUNICATIONS The Town Treasurer's monthly report was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. Resolution regarding the appointment of a receiver for the Town read and referred to new business. Petition regarding street work on Pice Avenue read and referred to new business. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Street Committee Councilman Ives. The various street work authorized at the last meeting of the Council has not been completed on account of the bad weather and inability to get help. It is expected that all work will be completed in the very near future however. UNFINISHED BUSINESS The petition for the vacation of the plat in Block 5 was brought up and discussed and ordered continued until the question of disincorporation had beed settled. NEW BUSINESS The resolution regarding the appointment of a receiver introduced by Councilman Berg was discussed at length and finally declared out of order by the L_ayor. The petition regarding street work on Rice Avenue was brought up and discussed together with the work needed on various other streets of the Town and it was finally moved and seconded that w25.00 be appropriated to repair Engel Hill and X25.00 for Rice Ave. Motion carried. Moved and seconded that 25.00 be appropriated to repair Riverside Avenue between Tukwila Ave. and highland Drive. I:•Iotion carried. Moved and seconded that one days work be put upon the right of way recently acquired from the Puget Sound Electric Railway. Motion carried. #2 1/8/25. A general discussion was held regarding additional street lights throughout the Town, but no action was taken. 9:10 P. M. Approved: No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at 6 0 Mayor
