HomeMy WebLinkAbout1925-05-14 Regular MinutesThe regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to odder by the Mayor on the above date at 7:30 P. M. There were present Mayor E. F. Greene, Councilmen Fred Nord, A. G. Berg, G. V. Harrison and A. J. Erickson; Councilman H. E. Ive being absent. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Cler and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the Clerk and after bein approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respecti' amounts. CURRENT EXPENSE FUND S. J. Barcesky Tukwila 60 00 Wm. Hamer Foster 49 50 Frank McDonald Tukwila 25 50 A. E. Hull it 2 50 American Surety Co. Seattle 5 00 E. E. Lutz Tukwila 10 00 Puget Sound Power Light Co. Seattle 36 00 Total 188.50 COMMUNICATIONS_ The Town Treasurer's monthly report was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Street Committee Councilman Harrison. The construction of the new walk on Highland Drive extend ed as well as the repairs on the Ton road have been completed and approved by the committee. Special Committee Councilman Berg. The County Commissioners have been consulted regarding the work on Graham Avenue, but no satisfaction was obtained. It is therefore recommended that this work be laid over indefinitely. Special Committee Councilman Erickson. Bluff Street and the streets on the Flat are badly in nee( of repair and it is recommended that some action be taken on both of these at once. UNFINISHED BUSINESS After some discussion it was regularly moved, seconded an carried that $60.00 be appropriated to repair the streets on the Flat, especially Maule Avenue and the Alley between First and Secon Avenues. An offer from Mr. Gott was read by the Clerk to furnish 58 yards of gravel and place same on Bluff Street for the sum of $99.75. After some discussion, it was regularly moved and seconded that the offer of Mr. Gott be accepted. Motion carried. The question of a small amount of additional work on the Ton road was brought up and after some discussion was referred to the Street Committee to investigate and report at the next meeting. No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at 8:15 P. M. Approved: Tukwila, Wash., May.14, 1925. Clerk
