On February 13, 2009, TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. (TRNA) conducted a Field Evaluation of the subject equipment at the facility as stated under the heading "Final Installation Site" on page (1). This evaluation consisted of a Final Installation Evaluation and installation evaluation. A preliminary evaluation was conducted at the manufacturers facility in Germany on January 28th 2008. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE: This test report contains only findings and results regarding the indicated equipment for installation at the particular final installation location. It is not intended as an endorsement of the equipment, nor an approval of similar or identical equipment at another location. If this equipment is modified, changed or moved to another location after the date of inspection the evaluation and Label is considered Void. Re- inspection shall be required. TRNA's label indicating the equipment as compliant does not relieve the owner /manufacturer of its responsibility for the safe operation of the equipment. This evaluation does not include evaluation of the suitable operation of the unit and does not include emission tests and locations defined as hazardous by the National Electrical Code (NEC). Exposed non - current carrying parts of the equipment were inspected for effective grounding and bonding in accordance with applicable provisions of the standards referenced in this report. (b) Guarding of Live and Moving Parts: All internal components were inspected for installation in a suitable enclosure and effective guarding in accordance with applicable provisions of the standards. Moving parts are inspected to contain suitable guards against pinching, crushing or other mechanical injury. (c) Overcurrent, Short Circuit and Overload Protection: Overcurrent, short circuit and overload protection installed in this equipment was evaluated for compliance to relevant standards. They were identified to be NRTL listed and of proper size and location. (d) Internal Wiring: Internal wiring and wiring methods were evaluated for compliance with relevant standards. Wiring was verified to be, properly sized and rated, with a temperature rating suitable for the installed application. (e) Electrical Testing (f) (g) Variation Electrical Tests were performed to verify the suitability of operation and safety of the unit. Selection of tests, are dependent on the type of equipment and relevant standard's requirements. Test data sheets are attached to this report. Environmental Suitability: The suitability of the equipment within its environmental context was evaluated. Outdoor type equipment were evaluated for suitability for exposure to rain, dust, humidity, splashing etc. Enclosures were required to be NEMA rated and suitable for their relevant application Installation of the Unit: It was verified that the equipment / fixture is installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. Furthermore, installation requirements as per the National Electric Code (NEC) such as working areas, power connection, etc. were also evaluated and corrective measured suggested. The equipment is: Forge Manipulator with Swiveling Rotary Turntable. Most of the system uses hydraulic motors to manipulate the forge stock. The electronics is limited to one control panel. This investigation focus on the electrical portion of the system. The electrical cabinet is located on the main manipulator system. The electrical feed is part of a telescoping system that move with the manipulator. The electrical cabinet contains controllers, power supplies, relays, and branch circuit protection. All critical components are UL and or CSA listed and marked. Lockable disconnects located on the main electrical facility panel and machine control panel. Railbound Forging Manipulator GSM -100 /300 WP: The manipulator meets demands of a modern open -die forge plant. It has been specially designed for the use with rapid - acting forging presses and possesses all necessary pre - requisites for the integration with a forging press and the automation of the forging process as well as for a program and computer controlled forging procedure. The manipulator can perform all motions required to manipulate ingots and other hot stock: manipulator travel - raising and lowering of the peel vertical peel tilt parallel peel side shift angular peel side shift tongs rotation opening and closing of tongs -jaws Swinging Arm Turntable SD- 100/100: The machine is designed for heavy duty operation in forging shops.
