Tukwila was called to order .,y the Mayor on the a..ove date at
8.35 P. M. Present were Mayor G. Bergquist and Councilmen
G. V. Harrison, Fred Nord, g. A. Kunz, and J. R. Naylor.
Regular order of business etas interupted while Mayor
Bergquist announced the sudden death of Councilman A. G. Berg.
He then announced the appointment of Mr. Edward F. Greene as
Councilman to fill the unexpired term of Councilman Berg's office.
Mr. Greene being present he was sworn in and assumed office.
Regular order of business was then resumed.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the
Clerk and approved as read.
BILLS
The following bills were read by the Clerk and after be-
ing approved by the Finance Committee, it was moved, seconded and
carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective
amounts.

COMMUNICATIONS
The monthly report of the Town Treasurer was read by the
Clerk and ordered placed on file.
A letter from the Puget Sound Power and Light Co. acknow-
ledging receipt of returned bill for street lighting for the
month of December 1925.
A letter from the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. re-
questing permit to place two poles on the west side of Riverside
Avenue. Permit granted.
The regular notice of elections issued by the King County
Board of Elections.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Street Committee Mr. Harrison, reported that Matn.Street
had been in bad condition due to washing away of surfacing but
since repaired by a gravel fill.
Warren Avenue also in bad shape due to improper drainage.
This now corrected by the installation of a sand box. Maule
#2 1/14/26.
Ave. also surfaced with gravel. Various small fills still to
be made.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The matter of repairs to the Crossing at the alley facing
the bluff was discussed and the Clerk instructed to write the
Puget Sound Railway Company again.
Mayor Bergquist reported that he had taken up with the
Puget Sound Light and Power Company the matter of additional
lights requested and that they were investigating the matter and
he would report further at the next meeting.
The matter fo street markers was discussed and on motion
regularly seconded and carriedwas laid on the table until such
time as the finances of the Town are on a cash basis.
NEW BUSINESS
Councilman Nord reported Tukwila Ave in bad condition and
in need of a fill to cover the chuck holes. Refered to the
Street Committee for action.
A permit was requested by the Ladies Improvement Club for
an addition to their Club House. Permit granted.
Resolution No. 28 was introduced commemorating the life
and services of Former Councilman A. G. Berg After being
read by the Clerk, it was moved, seconded and carried that the
resolution be adopted and a copy ordered sent to the widow.
Mayor Bergquist gave a short talk on taxa tion.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned
at 9.25 P. M.
