Foreman Tukwila, Wash., March 11, i:;26. monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of order by the Mayor at 8:30 P. M. Present were and Councilmen G. V. Harrison, E. F. Greene, Naylor; Councilman Fred Nord being absent. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts. CURRENT EXPENSE FUND Seattle 4,77.65 Tukwila 4.25 10.00 6.15 2.50 TOTAL 41100.55 COMMUNICATIONS The monthly report of the Town Treasurer was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. A Letter from Mr. J. M. Clapp, Consulting Engineer, rel- ative to installing a water system was read by the Clerk. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Street Committee, Mr. Harrison. All authorized street work completed with °the exception ofTukwila Avenue where the gravel- ing authorized had not yet been completed. The special committee apointed to investigate the building permit requested by Mr. Landstrom reported favorably. UNFINISHED BUSINESS On motion regularly seconded and carried, the permit re- quested by Mr. Landstrom was granted. NEW BUSINESS After a general discussion a motion was made, seconded and carries authorizing the Superintendent of Streets to secure a grader and grade all streets preparatory to graveling. Councilman Kunz reported that children were destroying Town property on Highland Drive. Matter referred to the Marshall for investigation. Mr. Kline appeared before the Council and suggested the appointment of a Building Inspector. Mayor Bergquist appointed Councilman Naylor as Inspector and Mr. Newton and Councilman Kunz as his committee. The following Building permits were granted; Mr. Fletcher, #2 -3/11/26 Garage. Mr. Duff, Brooder House. Mr. LaSalle as agent for Mr. Sanders, Garage. P. M. No further business appearing, the Council adjourned i):15 4 V Clerk
