During this time period, cover or mulch other disturbed areas, if they will be unworked more than 2 days. Covered material must be stockpiled on site at the beginning of this period. Inspect and maintain this stabilization weekly and immediately before, during and following storms. 18: From May 1 through September 30, inspect and maintain temporary erosion prevention and sediment at least monthly. See the detail in Figure C.2.D (p. C -15). • Filter fabric (geotextile) shall be placed on top of the drain rock and on trench or drywell sides prior to backfilling. • Spacing between drywelis shall be a minimum of 4 feet. • A minimum 5 -foot setback shall be maintained between any part of a drywell and any structure or property line. Drywells may not be placed in sensitive area buffers. A 50 -foot setback is required between a drywell and an SAO steep slope or landslide hazard area (this may be reduced with a geotechnical engineering report and approval of DDES). • Downspout infiltration trenches are not allowed on slopes greater than 25% (4:1). Drywells may not be placed on or above a landslide hazard area or slopes greater than 15% without evaluation by a geotechnical engineer or qualified geologist and DDES approval. • For sites with septic systems, drywells must be located downgradient of the primary and reserve drainfield areas. This requirement can be waived by DDES permit review staff if site topography clearly prohibits subsurface flows from intersecting the drainfield.
