Verizon is licensed to operate in the United States by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This proposal describes the scope of the proposed project by providing specific information regarding the project location, zoning, specifications, and required services. One (1) to two (2) employees are on site for an average of four (4) hours of maintenance checks. This check is typically for preventive maintenance purposes. Verizon Wireless SEA Southrenter DAS t'age 2 GENERAL SITE ANALYSIS Zoning General Plan Designation The site is zoned Tukwila Urban Center (TUC). Verizon's proposed telecommunication facility requires a Type 2 Land Use Review according to Tukwila Municipal Code (TMC) 18.58.050: A. Applications will be reviewed based on the type Of wireless communication facilities requested to be permitted. A noise report, prepared by an acoustical engineer, shall be submitted with any application to construct and operate a wireless communication facility that will have a generator or similar device. The City may require that the report be reviewed by a third party expert at the expense of the applicant. Vetzion's equipment will meet all applicable noise standards. No exterior equipment is proposed. Business License Requirement According to TMC 18.58.070: 2. Business license ,equireinem - Any person, corporation or entity that operates a wireless communication facility within the City shall have a valid business license issued annually by the City. Any person, corporation or other business entity which owns a tower also is required to obtain a business license 011 an annual basis. Verizon has filed for a business license for this site location. Signage According to TMC 18.58.070: 3. Signage - Only safety signs or those mandated by other government entities may be located on wireless communication facilities. No other types of signs are permitted on wireless communication facilities. No signs will be on -site unless required by either the FCC quid /or FAA. Parking According to TMC 18.58.070: 4. Puking- Any application must demonstrate that there is sufficient space for temporary parking for regular maintenance of the proposed facility. Finish - A tower shall either maintain a galvanized steel finish or, subject to any applicable standards of the FAA or FCC, be painted a neutral color so as to reduce its visual obtrusiveness. The exposed antennas, feed lines, coaxial cables, and associated mounting hardware will be painted to match the proposed additional screening. The proposed antenna screening will be painted to match existing parking light shroud. Design According to TMC 18.58.070: 6. Design - The design of all buildings and ancillary structures shall use materials, colors, textures, screening and landscaping that %gill blend the tower facilities with the natural setting and built environment. The exposed antennas, feed lines, coaxial cables, and associated mounting hardware will be painted to match the proposed additional screening. The proposed antenna screening will be painted to match existing parking light shroud. Color According to TMC 18.58.070: 7. Color - All aurteunas and ancillary facilities located on buildings or structures other than towers shall be of a neutral color that is identical to or closely compatible sith the color of the supporting structure so as to make the antenna .uul ancillary- facilities as visually unobtrusive as possible. The exposed antennas, feed lines, coaxial cables, and associated mounting hardware will be painted to match the proposed additional screening. The proposed antenna screening will be painted to match existing parking light shroud. Lighting According to TMC 18.58.070: 8. - "Powers shall not be artificially lighted unless required by the FAA, FCC or other applicable authority. If lighting is required, the reviewing authority shall review the lighting alternatives and approve the design that would cause the least disturbance to the sun-ounding areas. Advertising - No advertising is permitted at wireless communication facility sites or on any ancillary structure or facilities equipment compound. No advertising is or will be on -site.
