or abandoned for a period of 180 days from the last inspection.
PERMIT CONDITIONS:
1: ** *BUILDING DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS * **
2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
4: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
5: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.

This tenant improvement application may be submitted for non - structural interior construction, which is authorized under an existing
approved blanket permit agreement. It is the responsibility of the applicant to be aware and comply with all the terms and conditions
as set forth in the agreement.
The work is limited to that shown on the plans submitted with this application, and such work is limited to non - structural interior
construction only. The following work is not covered under the blanket permit process and separate approvals, permits and
inspections are obtained through the applicable agencies.

Application Submittal — Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review. Make sure to fill out the
application completely and follow the plan submittal checklist below. Handouts are available at the Permit Center which provides
more in -depth detail on preparing the submittal.
Authorized Agent — The applicant must be an authorized agent as identified in the Blanket Permit.
Fees — The permit fees are based on valuation of construction as declared by the applicant on the application, and shall include all the
work to be covered under the permit. The valuation will be reviewed and is subject to revision by the Building Official to insure
compliance with current fee schedules. To obtain a permit fee estimate, contact the Permit Center at 206 -431 -3670.

- All new walls, existing walls and proposed walls (provide construction key); and
All other proposed construction.

Cross sections showing wall construction and method of attachment, floor and ceiling; and
- Reflected ceiling plan (if applicable).

- 6" x 8" blank space provided on lower right hand corner of each page of plans (for use by the plan checker);

Bristolite's SV series heat and smoke vents are
listed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. and
approved by FM Approvals. These UL and FM
Smoke Vents are available with Aluminum or Steel
Bases. UL smoke vents are available with acrylic,
fiberglass, or metal lids. FM smoke vents are avail-
able with fiberglass or metal lids. FM smoke vents
with high temperature links are approved to use
with ESFR sprinklers.

Specifications: Smoke Vents shall be No. as
manufactured by Bristolite Skylights. Metal covers shall be 14
gauge paint bond galvanized steel or 11 gauge aluminum. Metal door
shall have 1" UL Listed fiberglass insulation with a .030 aluminum
(or optional steel) liner. Skylight domed doors shall be acrylic with
CC -2 fire rating or fiberglass with CC -1 rating as manufactured by
Bristolite. Curb frames shall be 14 gauge paint bonded galvanized
steel or optional 11 gauge aluminum and shall be 13" high (12 inch-
es to door hinge point) with a 4" pre - drilled fastening flange. Curb
shall have an integral fully corner welded cap flashing. Exterior
insulation (when specified) shall be 1" rigid fiberboard. Double leaf
doors shall be actuated by single UL Listed and FM approved fusible
link and shall open and lock in a 90 degree open position. Door shall
open against a 10 psf uniform load and shall withstand a uniform 10
psf load in the open and locked position. Doors shall be spring -actu-
ated and equipped with heavy -duty shock absorbers to control speed
of operation. Unit shall withstand a 40 psf uniform static load in the
closed position, and a 30 psf uplift load. Both inside and outside
manual releases that do not effect the fusible link shall also be pro-
vided and shall automatically be reset by closing the vent doors. All
hardware shall be plated for corrosion resistance. Manufacturer shall
provide a five year warranty against defects in materials and work-
manship.

GENERAL NOTES
1. EXISTING BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROVIDES EXAMPLE OF FINISH LEVEL TO BE PROVIDED. ALL
WORK IS TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH EXISTING CONSTRUCTION.
2. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO APPLICABLE CURRENT FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL CODES. THE
CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE FOR ALL REQUIRED NOTIFICATION OF AND COORDINATION WITH THE CITY
AND STATE AGENCIES, AND PROVIDE REQUIRED PERMITS. ALL TESTS AND INSPECTIONS ASSOCIATED
WITH OBTAINING APPROVALS TO PROCEED WITH AND COMPLETE THE WORK SHALL BE PAID FOR BY THE
CONTRACTOR.
3. THE INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IS TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR AND MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT
AND TRANSPORTATION NECESSARY OR REASONABLY INFERABLE AS BEING NECESSARY FOR THE
EXECUTION OF THE WORK. BY SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL, THE CONTRACTOR REPRESENTS THAT
THROUGH EXAMINATION OF THE SITE AND ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE
AND THAT THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN EXAMINED IN COMPLETE DETAIL, AND THAT IT IS
DETERMINED BEYOND DOUBT THAT THE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND EXISTING CONDITIONS ARE
SUFFICIENT, ADEQUATE AND SATISFACTORY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE WORK. WHERE MINOR
ADJUSTMENTS TO THE WORK ARE NECESSARY FOR THE PURPOSES OF FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION
OF ITEMS, OR RESOLUTIONS OF CONFLICTS BETWEEN ITEMS, WITHIN THE INTENT OF THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE SUCH ADJUSTMENTS AT NO ADDED EXPENSE TO THE
OWNER. WHERE SUCH MINOR ADJUSTMENTS AFFECT FUNCTIONAL OR AESTHETIC DESIGN OF THE WORK,
THEY SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE OWNER AND /OR ARCHITECT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER, INCLUDING AREA FOR WORK, MATERIALS
STORAGE, ACCESS TO AND FROM THE WORK, SPECIAL CONDITIONS OR NOISY WORK, TIMING OF WORK
AND INTERRUPTIONS OF MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SERVICES.
5. ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF WORKMANSHIP
IN GENERAL AND WITH SUCH STANDARDS AS ARE SPECIFIED.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL ADHERE TO ALL BUILDING STANDARDS. ANY CHANGE TO SAME SHALL BE
SUBMITTED TO ARCHITECT IN WRITING FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
7. CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS ON SITE AND NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF
ANY DISCREPANCIES. CONTRACTOR IS NOT TO SCALE DRAWINGS.
8. ALL MATERIALS INDICATED TO MATCH EXISTING SHALL DO SO WITH RESPECT TO SIZE, COLOR,
TEXTURE, PATTERN, QUALITY AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION INSOFAR AS PRACTICABLE AND SHALL BE
APPROVED BY THE OWNER BEFORE USE.
9. EXISTING WORK DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE REPAIRED TO
ORIGINAL CONDITION AND FINISHED TO MATCH ADJACENT FINISHES, SUBJECT TO OWNER'S APPROVAL, AT
NO ADDITIONAL COST TO OWNER. ALL REPLACEMENT MATERIAL REQUIRED TO MATCH EXISTING
MATERIALS SHALL DO SO WITH RESPECT TO TYPE, PATTERN, TEXTURE, SIZE, SHAPE, COLOR AND
METHOD OF INSTALLATION INSOFAR AS PRACTICABLE, AND SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER PRIOR
TO INSTALLATION.
10. ALL EXISTING MECHANICAL, FIRE SPRINKLER AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND SERVICE DISRUPTED
OR REMOVED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RESTORED AND REPLACED UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
11. INSTALLATIONS OF MECHANICAL, FIRE SPRINKLER, ELECTRICAL AND STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS WILL
REQUIRE OPENING OF SOME EXISTING WALLS, CEILINGS, OR FLOOR CAVITIES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR OF THESE OPENINGS TO MATCH EXISTING, EXCEPT WHERE NOTED
OTHERWISE. FILL ALL HOLES AND VOIDS IN FLOORS, WALLS AND CEILINGS WHICH RESULT FROM
INSTALLATION OF WORK, AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY THIS
CONTRACT. PATCHED AREAS SHALL MATCH THE MATERIALS, FINISHES, AND LEVELS ADJACENT, OR
SHALL BE PUT IN THE PROPER CONDITION TO RECEIVE THE FINISH INDICATED.
12. MATERIALS, ARTICLES, DEVICES AND PRODUCTS ARE SPECIFIED IN THE DOCUMENTS BY LISTING
ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS OR PRODUCTS, BY REQUIRING COMPLIANCE WITH REFERENCED STANDARDS
OR BY PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS. FOR ITEMS SPECIFIED BY NAME, SELECT ANY PRODUCT NAMED.
FOR THOSE SPECIFIED BY REFERENCE STANDARD OR BY PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS SELECT ANY
PRODUCT MEETING OR EXCEEDING SPECIFIED CRITERIA. FOR APPROVAL OF AN ITEM NOT SPECIFIED,
SUBMIT FOUR (4) COPIES OF COMPLETE BACK —UP INFORMATION FOR PURPOSES OF EVALUATION.
WHERE BUILDING STANDARD ITEMS ARE CALLED FOR, NO SUBSTITUTE WILL BE ACCEPTED.
13. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE FOR ALL WORK REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL
FIRE CODE. PROVIDE FOR ALL REQUIRED SHOP DRAWINGS AND APPROVALS.
14. MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL TO BE DESIGNED BY OTHERS.
15. ANY CHANGE IN LIGHT FIXTURE PLACEMENT DUE TO INTERFERENCE OF MECHANICAL OR
STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS MUST BE APPROVED BY OWNER.
16. ALL WOOD IN CONTACT WITH FLOOR SLAB TO BE PRESERVATIVE TREATED PER I.B.C. SECTION
