PERMIT CONDITIONS:
1: ** *BUILDING DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS * **
2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unles:3 approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All mechanical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center
(206/431- 3670).
4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
5: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap the sanitary
sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks, wells, and other
excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined. by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of
this requirement.

Department (206- 431- 3670).
8: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.
9: ** *FIRE DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS * **
10: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by the Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
11: Accumulation of combustible waste material is prohibited during the demolition phase of this project. Remove and
properly dispose of all waste material prior to the close of the working day and as often throughout the day as needed.
12: Maintain coverage and operability of portable fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems during
demolition and construction.
13: All new sprinkler systems and all modifications to existing sprinkler systems shall have fire department review and
approval of drawings prior to installation or modification. New sprinlder systems and all modifications to sprinlder
systems involving more than 50 heads shall have the written approval of Factory Mutual or any fire protection engineer
licensed by the State of Washington and approved by the Fire Marshal prior to submittal to the Tukwila Fire Prevention
Bureau. No sprinlder work shall commence without approved drawings. (City Ordinance No. 2050).
14: All new fire alarm systems or modifications to existing systems shall have the written approval of The Tukwila Fire
Prevention Bureau. No work shall commence until a fire department permit has been obtained. (City Ordinance #2051) (IFC
104.2)
15: Contact The Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau to witness all required inspections and tests. (City Ordinances #2050 and
#2051)
16: Any overlooked hazardous condition and/or violation of the adopted Fire or Building Codes does not imply approval of
such condition or violation.

Expiration of Plan Review -- Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation.

Dear Permit Holder:
In reviewing our current records, the above noted permit has not received a final inspection by the City of
Tukwila Building Division. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform
Plumbing Code and /or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized
by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work
authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180
days. Your permit will expire on 08/30/2011.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
1) Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final
inspection. Each inspection creates a new 180 day period, , provided the inspection shows progress.

2) Submit a written request for permit extension to the Permit Center at least seven (7) days before it is
due to expire. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for
the need to extend your permit.
The Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of up to 180 days. If it is
determined that your extension request is granted, you will be notified by mail.
In the event you do not call for an inspection and/or receive an extension prior to 08/30/2011, your permit will
become null and void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees.

I am in receipt of your correction letter dated February 17, 2011 regarding the above permit
tenant improvement and an internal 1" RPPA device which has not been tested.
This RPPA will be removed during the demolition process under a plumbing permit.
Please release this tenant improvement as the above RPPA will no longer be active on the site
and therefore no testing will be done.

Regarding backflow protection at 12628 Interurban:
-This is Bldg. C at Tukwila Commerce Park.
- RPBA on domestic service for premise isolation is current.
- Fire DCDA is current.
- Irrigation DCVA is current.
- There is an internal 1" RPBA on domestic service in riser room that is overdue for testing. It was due last May
2010 and we did not receive a test report. This assembly is downstream of the premise isolation RPBA.

In accordance with Washington State Department of Health guidelines for Group A Public Water
Systems, Public Works has implemented a cross - connection control program to protect the public water
system from contamination via cross - connection. The program requires elimination or control of any
cross - connection between the distribution system and a consumer's water system by the installation of an
approved backflow device. The City has determined that the building at the above address has
deficiencies on the domestic water service.
The building has an internal 1 -inch Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly (RPPA) on the domestic

2010, but we did not receive the test report. This assembly is downstream of the premise isolation RPPA.
Please have the backflow tested by a certified tester and submit a passing test report to Public Works.

The Public Works Director will withhold final Public Works sign -off of the subject Tenant Improvement
permit until a passing backflow test report is received by Public Works.
