Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and /or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days. Please release this tenant improvement as the above RPPA will no longer be active on the site and therefore no testing will be done. C at Tukwila Commerce Park. - RPBA on domestic service for premise isolation is current. - Fire DCDA is current. - Irrigation DCVA is current. - There is an internal 1" RPBA on domestic service in riser room that is overdue for testing. It was due last May 2010 and we did not receive a test report. This assembly is downstream of the premise isolation RPBA. Box 4900 #207 Scottsdale, AZ 85261 RE: Vacant Space Tenant Improvement 12628 Interurban Ave. S., Tukwila, WA Permit No. D11 -034 To Whom It May Concern: Jim Haggerton, Mayor Bob Giberson, P.E., Director In accordance with Washington State Department of Health guidelines for Group A Public Water Systems, Public Works has implemented a cross - connection control program to protect the public water system from contamination via cross - connection. The program requires elimination or control of any cross - connection between the distribution system and a consumer's water system by the installation of an approved backflow device. The City has determined that the building at the above address has deficiencies on the domestic water service. The building has an internal 1 -inch Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly (RPPA) on the domestic water service in the riser room that is overdue for the required annual testing. It was due last May 2010, but we did not receive the test report. This assembly is downstream of the premise isolation RPPA. Please have the backflow tested by a certified tester and submit a passing test report to Public Works. If you need assistance in locating the backflow on site, please contact Mr. Todd Reedy from the Tukwila Water Department at (206)433 -1860. The Public Works Director will withhold final Public Works sign -off of the subject Tenant Improvement permit until a passing backflow test report is received by Public Works.
