Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and /or National Electrical Code every permit application not issued within 180 days from the date of application shall expire and become null and void. Your permit application will expire on 09/05/2011. If you still plan to pursue your project, a written request for extension of your application must be submitted to the Permit Center at least seven (7) days before it is due to expire. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for the need to extend your permit application. If it is determined that an extension is granted, your application will be extended for an addtional 90 days from the expiration date and you will be notified by mail. Provide elevation (side cross -cut section) details that specify footings, all upper and lower post, floor framing, floor covering, roof framing and roof covering. Provide elevations dimensions to show ceiling heights, height from finish grade, and all relative dimensions for lumber spans. Please note where the upper post is located beyond the lower post this shall require special framing details. Typically post shall be inline from top to bottom and shall be fastened with mechanical fasteners to prevent uplift. Show footings for the supporting post. Pier blocks shall not be allowed. Post shall attach directly to a poured post footing. 3. The elevation shown, shows the roof attached under the existing over hang. This could possibly make the ceiling height low. Minimum ceiling heights shall be 7 feet. Provide dimensions for height of that ceiling. 4. Provide a detail to show the roof ledger connection at the wall. Specify fasteners and what the fasteners shall be tied into. Ledgers shall not be attached over siding. Ledgers shall attach directly to the framing through the exterior sheathing which is attached to the framing. 5. Show dimensions for the guard rail and specify spacing of the balusters. Specify material sizes of the materials for the guardrail and specify how the guardrail is attached. Guardrails shall be constructed and fastened to resist a horizontal load of 250 lbs. at any point of the guardrail.
