The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:00 P. M. Present were Mayor G. C. Bergquist and Councilmen J. A. Kunz, J. R. Naylor, E. F. Greene and M. L. Holmes. Councilman J. C. Wickman being absent. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, second- ed and carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts. Puget Sound Power Light Co. Seattle $39.10 F. Gott Tukwila 1.20 D. A. Newton 10.00 Tukwila Grocery to 2.50 Geo. Heyne 4.25 TOTAL $57.05 COMMUNICATIONS The monthly report of the Town Treasurer was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Mr. Naylor Street Committee. Have completed cutting the brush on the various streets. Crushed rock has been placed on the alley in the flats, using six yards at $1.75 per yard. New Business Councilman Holmes reported that a number of street lights were out. Matter referred to the Clerk to take up with the light company. Mayor Bergquist reported that a number of sidewalks were in need of repair. Referred to the Superintendent of Streets to in- vestigate and take up with the property owners affected. Councilman Naylor stated that a dog with mange was running loose on the streets. Referred to the Town Marshall to notify the owner to keep said dog tied up or otherwise handle. Councilman Kunz reported that the drain on Kenney Boule- vard had been closed by a driveway. Clerk instructed to notify the; owner to open same. #2 9/9/26 The matter of re- surfacing the various streets was discussed and on motion, regularly seconded and carried, the Superintendent of Streets was authorized to secure the use of a scarifier from the City of Seattle and scrape all the streets of the Town.
