APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Poiyflex is intended to be used cis a base sheet ar inter ply in new or re-root applications. f olyflex may be applied directly to
non-combustible substrates_ Polytlex requires the installation of a compatible granulated cop sheet to complete the roofing sysieni.
• Apply over clean, dry, dust and debris free substrates. Prune concrete decks piicr to application with PG 100
Asphalt Primer.
• When re- roofing, remove all prior roofing materials down to c clean debris -free substrate and properly close -off all
obondcned roof penetrations.
• Concrete or steel decks shall be designed with proper expansion devil :;.s.
• Wood decks shall have olI points blocked and properly supportr;cf
• Ensure the fire rating of the assembly over any combustible substrote.
•
Ensure the installation of Polytlex does not prevent the ventilation of existing construction
• Do not apply over shingles or any granulated surface.
• While installing Polytlex:
1 Stott at the low point of the roof.
2. Unroll the material and allow to relo:c in he sun for at least 15 minutes.
3 Install with traditional torch roofing techniques ensuring pinper heating of the roofing material as not to expose
the reinforce -meni,
4. Do not heat the substrcte.
5. Position successive rolls providing a minimum 6" end lap and 3' side lop. Asphalt bleed out shall be 1 /4" to
3/8" on all seams.
6. Lops shall be rolled with a 6 "-wide roller immediately otter haat welding.
• Details and flashing may be installed using Polyflex with torch opplied techniques, Do not use cold adhesives or hot
asphalt. Check project details for proper installation requirements.
