Hi Bill. I just talked with you on the phone about extending my permit past its current expiration of 7/23/2012. The reason for this extension is that I injured my finger 2 nights ago and am, literally, working on finishing the project one - handed. There's not much left to do but there's enough that, given my current situation (i.e. injured finger) I'm not totally convinced I'll be able to finish by the 23rd and I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for your consideration in this matter. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days. Your permit will expire on 07/23/2012. Based on the above, you are hereby advised to: 1) Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or fmal inspection. Each inspection creates a new 180 day period, provided the inspection shows progress. -or- 2) Submit a written request for permit extension to the Permit Center at least seven (7) days before it is due to expire. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for the need to extend your permit. Note C: Literature regarding the Stiebel Eltron CK 15E Fan heater has been included. RESPONSES 1. Drawing #2 has been updated to include two, Stiebel Eltron CK 15E 1500 Watt surface - mounted wall heaters. Since the total square footage of the new room is roughly 327 sq ft, 3000 watts plus the R -38 in the walls and ceiling should keep the room within the energy efficiency requirements. Please see included literature (referenced by "Note C ", above) for more information. 2. Drawing #4 has been updated to show paper backed R -38 installed with the backing towards the room on both the ceiling and walls. In drawing #4, due to the framing obscuring the full view of the insulation, an orange line was drawn against the back of the drywall for both the ceiling and the walls. A note has been added with an orange asterisk on drawing #4 as well. 3. Please see new inclusion "New Room Entry Door 1" and "New Room Entry Door 2" for detailed door and door -frame weather stripping. 4.
